The process of getting porcelain veneers requires a few steps and appointments and takes approximately two weeks.
In the initial consultation, the dentist will first plan your new smile by determining what size, shape, and the type of veneers will best complement your smile and aesthetic desires. We will then make a mould of your teeth which our laboratory will use to create your custom veneers.
Next, we will prepare your teeth by gently filing away a small amount of the front surface of the tooth (about the thickness of a fingernail) to allow space for the veneers without your smile looking too bulky. Temporary veneers will then be placed to protect the teeth while the final veneer is fabricated in a dental laboratory.
